WHO CAN BENEFIT FROM YOUR TREATMENTS?

We can help whether you are suffering from an acute or chronic condition. Many of our patients find us after exhausting other medical options. They come with digestive disturbance, insomnia, anxiety and depression, traumatic injury, chronic pain, migraines, fatigue, respiratory infections, and auto-immune conditions to name a few. We often address seemingly mysterious conditions that are inadequately understood by Western medicine and provide adjunctive support to those receiving care from other doctors.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW PRIOR TO MY FIRST VISIT?

We ask that you arrive about ten minutes early to complete intake paperwork so that we may use the allotted time for your treatment. We welcome you to enjoy a cup of tea in our waiting room while completing this task.


It's best to eat a light meal before receiving acupuncture or bodywork. There is no need to wear special attire, however clothing that can be comfortably rolled up to the knees and elbows facilitates acupuncture.


If you're receiving acupuncture for the first time, you may have some concerns about the needles. We always use sterile, single use needles. The needles are so tiny that sometimes they're hardly felt. Most often, there is a brief pricking sensation that fades as quickly as it appeared. Your practitioner will encourage you to communicate directly about your experience to ensure that you feel entirely comfortable during your treatment.

CAN I USE MY INSURANCE?

We have preferred providers for the following insurance companies:

    •    Providence
    •    Premera Blue Cross
    •    Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield
    •    Kaiser/CHP
    •    PacificSource Health Plans
    •    Aetna
    •    United Healthcare

If you have coverage through one of these plans, you can expedite the process by checking your benefits to confirm that your plan has naturopathic, acupuncture, and/or massage coverage. Our office manager is available to verify whether or not the practitioner you wish to see is able to bill your particular insurance for the services you seek. If you would like to use out-of-network benefits, we will be happy to provide documentation for you to submit for reimbursement. Please remember to bring your insurance card to your first visit.
If you will not be using insurance, a discount is available for payment at the time of your visit.

WHAT IF I NEED TO CANCEL MY APPOINTMENT?

We understand that unexpected situations arise and we often have a waiting list. Please let us know as soon as possible so that we may accommodate the needs of all our patients. If you would like to cancel or reschedule an appointment more than 24 hours in advance, you may do that online or by contacting our front desk.

 

Our online scheduling program does not permit last minute changes. If you must cancel with less than 24 hours, please call or email the front desk directly. There is a $25 fee for last minute cancellation.
